Job Title: Debt Advice Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Debt Advice Specialist to join our team at Harris Hill. As a Debt Advice Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive debt advice and support to clients, helping them navigate complex financial situations and achieve financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, impartial debt advice to clients, taking into account their individual circumstances and needs.
  • Assess clients' financial situations, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized plans to achieve financial stability.
  • Provide guidance on budgeting, income maximization, and debt management, ensuring clients understand their options and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and prioritize household emergencies, providing timely support and referrals as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records, using our case management system to track client progress and outcomes.
  • Support senior advisors and supervisors, acting as a deputy in their absence and contributing to the development of the team.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Debt Advice Qualification to Caseworker Level (Institute of Money Advisers Certificate of Money Advice or Community Money Advice Level 3 Award in Debt Advice or similar).
  • Minimum one year of experience providing comprehensive debt advice, with a strong understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority and Debt Advice Quality Framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to work independently, managing multiple cases and delivering on project KPIs.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to adhering to necessary guidance and rules, including FCA, GDPR, and organizational policies.
