Job Title: Accommodation Office Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accommodation Office Team Leader to join our team at AVENTUS RECRUITMENT SOLUTIONS. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care and support to children with learning disabilities who may also have physical and sensory disabilities, and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide individualized support and care to children with specific healthcare needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  2. Assist the Manager in carrying out duties to ensure the smooth running of the care home, adhering to legal requirements and OFSTED regulations.
  3. Monitor and ensure compliance with legal and statutory frameworks, including the Children's Homes Regulations (England), Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, etc.
  4. Liaise with other healthcare professionals involved in service users' care, promoting collaborative working and effective communication.
  5. Be actively involved in the recruitment, induction, mentoring, supervision, appraisal, and line management of care and other staff, identifying training needs and developing individualized support plans.
  6. Participate in own supervision and attend identified training courses relevant to the role, ensuring ongoing professional development and expertise.
  7. Understand and monitor the relevant financial processes within the home, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
  8. Attend and lead meetings as appropriate, both internal and with external colleagues and partners, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
  9. Contribute to the assessment of referrals and transition processes, both to and from the home and other settings such as education, ensuring seamless support and care.
  10. Contribute to regular reviews of the service in conjunction with the RM and RI, including the Regulation 44 and 45 processes, ensuring continuous improvement and quality assurance.
  11. Support service users in their leisure and social activities, promoting their independence, choice, and well-being.
  12. Ensure all required records are fully completed, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  13. Ensure care plans are reviewed monthly, ensuring ongoing assessment and adaptation of support and care.
  14. Complete Home Audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure high-quality care and support.
  15. Be responsible for producing staff rotas, ensuring effective scheduling and resource allocation.
  16. Hold on-call responsibilities when required, providing 24/7 support and care to service users.
  17. Promote and adhere to the home's equal opportunity principles, policy, and practice, ensuring a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  18. Carry out any other duties requested by manager/senior manager, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team and the organization.
Essential Experience:
  1. Previous supervisory experience is essential, with the ability to supervise care staff and service users' support provision in the absence of the Home's Manager/Deputy.
  2. Preferred 2 years previous experience of working with children who have Learning Disabilities and who may also have physical and sensory disabilities in a residential setting.
  3. Previous experience of working with children who may have challenging behavior in a residential setting.
  4. Full clean UK driving license is essential.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. NVQ Level 3 in Social Care.
