Simon Acres Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Warehouse Manager to join their team in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking and fast-growing company that values innovation and excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the 60,000sq ft warehouse facility. This will include overseeing the activities of 3 direct reports and 6-8 indirect reports, ensuring that all inbound and outbound activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining high levels of housekeeping standards across the site.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety policies, processes, and procedures are always adhered to.
  • Driving process improvements and procedural adherence.
  • Scheduling daily workload and allocating staff across the site, including overtime approval and accountability.
  • Running daily morning briefings with Warehouse Supervisors and Warehouse Administrator.
  • Ensuring all relevant iAuditor inspections are carried out to required standards.
  • Processing perpetual stock counts accurately to agreed timelines.
  • Capturing and reporting KPI metrics.
  • Recruiting and training warehouse team members as required.
  • Conducting 1-1's, performance reviews, and disciplinary/grievance procedures as needed.
  • Maintaining process and procedures documentation.
  • Ensuring all equipment on site is suitably maintained and checked per schedule.
  • Managing site traffic, including inbound and outbound vehicles.
  • Site security, including locking and opening procedures.
  • Processing and maintaining internal ERP systems.

Requirements:

  • Strong and proven experience as a Warehouse Manager.
  • People and performance management experience.
  • Proven experience in process improvements and procedural adherence.
  • Ability to lead teams by example from the front.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy fragile goods.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and basic Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Full UK driving licence and FLT licence (counterbalance) advantageous.
