About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join our team at AJ Bell Management Limited. As an Operational Resilience Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of our business operations and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Resilience Roadmap: Collaborate with the Operational Resilience Manager to coordinate the delivery of the Operational Resilience Roadmap, building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, including third-party suppliers.
  • Resilience Testing: Engage with third-party suppliers and internal technology teams to understand and document existing resilience testing outcomes.
  • Risk Identification: Assist in the performance of due diligence exercises to identify and articulate risks and vulnerabilities, including opportunities to improve our resilience.
  • Scenario Testing: Design and deliver desktop-based scenario testing exercises, including stakeholders from technology services and third-party suppliers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the operational resilience team at the Third-Party Resilience Group and the Technology Resilience Group to ensure appropriate escalation of resilience concerns.
  • Lessons Learned: Participate in other resilience testing exercises as part of the resilience team and ensure that any vulnerabilities and actions identified are agreed with owners and documented.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop MI for various governance forums, including clear and concise documentation detailing progress of third-party testing.
  • Training and Awareness: Participate in the delivery of training and awareness exercises to embed the Operational Resilience strategy within the business.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience of resilience testing, working with third-party suppliers, or an awareness of third-party operational risk would be advantageous.
  • Attributes: Highly self-motivated and optimistic, diligent and organized, with the ability to work on multiple workstreams at once.
  • Skills: Experience of using Visio or similar process mapping tools, ability to interpret complex systems and processes, and strong written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experience of MS Excel for detailed data analysis and/or Power BI to build effective reporting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Awareness of the Operational Resilience regulations in Financial Services.
