We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join our team at AJ Bell Management Limited

The Operational Resilience team plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity of our business services and processes. As an Operational Resilience Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our Operational Resilience objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operational Resilience Manager in coordinating the delivery of the Operational Resilience Roadmap by working with stakeholders across the business.
  • Take ownership of operational resilience workbooks to ensure that the underlying resources remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support the efforts of the team to continuously improve and increase the sophistication of mapping and testing.
  • Perform analysis on resilience documentation to identify and articulate vulnerabilities, risks, and opportunities to improve resilience.
  • Participate in group scenario testing to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve operational resilience, including the design and creation of tests with SMEs in the business.
  • Contribute to group lessons learned exercises to document vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve our resilience following business disruption.
  • Ensure any vulnerabilities and actions identified during scenario testing or lessons learned exercises are agreed with owners and documented in good time.
  • Collate and produce accurate and relevant MI for various governance packs.
  • Support the team to deliver training and awareness exercises to embed the Operational Resilience strategy within the business.
  • Keep the Operational Resilience Manager up to date on progress as well as findings from all operational resilience related activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of working in a role which includes analysing complex data.
  • Experience of process mapping, business continuity/resilience planning or assessment of IT/operational risk would be an advantage.
  • An interest in financial regulations and operational resilience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and confident.
  • Ability to format and manipulate data in Excel with experience of formulas, tables and data presentation.
  • Experience of using Visio or similar process mapping tools.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Experience of articulating risks and solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience of using Excel.
  • Understands the Operational Resilience regulations.
