Job Description

Job Title: Operational Resilience Specialist

Job Summary:

Vermelo RPO is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Specialist to join our team. As an Operational Resilience Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and embedding the operational resilience operating model across our business units and working with divisions to ensure maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Operational Resilience Manager in developing and embedding the operational resilience operating model across the business units and working with divisions to ensure maturity.
  • Support the Director of Operational Resilience and Operational Resilience Manager in ensuring the operating model is developed and run in accordance with group policies and procedures, market convention, relevant regulation, and our risk appetite.
  • Provide planning and support to ensure that detailed oversight of the operational resilience activities across group functions is maintained.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Group level Operational Resilience Framework, standards, controls, and policies and the templates/documentation & tools underpinning these to ensure adherence to regulatory policy using OR Tooling as required.
  • Responsible for supporting the promotion and maintenance of Operational Resilience awareness & training documentation & requirements across the organisation including the oversight and assurance of the Operational Resilience managed service, as needed by the divisions across our organisation.
  • Organising the production of Group regulatory artefacts, ensuring they are analysed, reviewed, and taken through appropriate governance in required timelines.
  • Supporting the definition and collation of management information on the status of Operational Resilience capabilities across the Group, to provide oversight to the Operational Resilience Steering Committee, Risk Committee, and Board on regulatory adherence.
  • Leading on the management and oversight of the group-wide mass notification cascade tool including data management, user access, oversight of cascade notifications, management of training tools and materials conducting awareness training as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Some knowledge of enterprise risk and control frameworks and resilience risks relating to business operations, technology platforms, digital channels, third parties, and cloud-based services.
  • Knowledge of the financial regulatory environment with knowledge of the recent operational resilience requirements.
  • Fully competent in Microsoft applications.
  • Experience preferable within a similar function within the financial services industry.
  • Empathetic with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Experience of FCA or similar regulatory regime.
