Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Community Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing diagnosis, management, and consultation for complex mental health presentations to the under 18 population.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with eating disorders
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment plans
- Provide consultation and advice to professionals in the wider network
- Participate in the development of internal clinical pathways
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
- MBBS or equivalent qualification
- Full GMC Registration
- Section 12 Approval
- Certificate of completion of relevant Specialist Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Learning Disability (or within 6 months)
- Formal training in management and administration
- Participated in research and published papers and original work in peer-reviewed journals
- Ability to work conscientiously and complete all tasks in a timely fashion
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and boundaries with young people
- Ability to learn and develop new skills needed for the post
- Ability to think clearly and express self
- Ability to assess reports and clinical information and provide clear and concise information tailored for different audience
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others
