About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Community Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing diagnosis, management, and consultation for complex mental health presentations to the under 18 population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of the psychiatric component of the CAMHS tier 3 service to the under 18 population in the Eating Disorder CAMHS Team.
  • Assessment of young people's mental state, formulation of diagnoses, and monitoring of risks.
  • Referral meetings, case reviews, and development of effective treatment approaches.
  • Consultation, advice, and support to professionals in the wider network of the young person and/or family.
Requirements
  • MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Section 12 Approval.
  • Certificate of completion of relevant Specialist Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Learning Disability (or within 6 months).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Formal training in management and administration.
  • Participation in research and publication of papers in peer-reviewed journals.
