Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Community Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing diagnosis, management, and consultation for complex mental health presentations to the under 18 population.
Key Responsibilities- Provision of the psychiatric component of the CAMHS tier 3 service to the under 18 population in the Eating Disorder CAMHS Team.
- Assessment of young people's mental state, formulation of diagnoses, and monitoring of risks.
- Referral meetings, case reviews, and development of effective treatment approaches.
- Consultation, advice, and support to professionals in the wider network of the young person and/or family.

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with the following qualifications and experience:
- MRCPsych or equivalent.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- Full GMC Registration.
- Section 12 Approval.
- Certificate of completion of relevant Specialist Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychiatry of Learning Disability (or within 6 months).
Essential skills and experience include:
- Section 12 Approval/Approved Clinician Status.
- Broad range of experience in psychiatric practice and in the use of psychological therapies.
- Experience and competencies in assessing and treating children and adolescents with eating disorders and complex mental health needs and their families.
- Willingness and ability to work with others to achieve shared goals.
- Previous experience of working in a child and adolescent service.
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge of Safeguarding in child and adolescent mental health.
- Previous experience of Leadership and Management roles working in a child and adolescent service.
