About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Counselling Lecturer to join our team at a Further Education College in Blackburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective teaching, learning, and assessment at undergraduate level across the FdA and BA (hons) Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students on our Counselling courses
  • Maintain and develop the curriculum to ensure relevance to Counselling and the wider industry
  • Engage with students using a variety of learning and teaching modes, including face-to-face and blended learning
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
Requirements
  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • UK Honours degree (or ENIC-NARIC recognised degree) in a relevant discipline
  • Postgraduate qualification at level 7 in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional qualification
  • Registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or equivalent practice experience and a current practicing counsellor
