BUSINESS PERFORMANCE ANALYST

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Business Performance Analyst will report directly to the Head of Operational Performance & Strategy (HOPS) and will be essential in delivering commercial assistance while facilitating the business processes and objectives overseen by the HOPS. This role is responsible for managing standard commercial contracts, including proximity agreements, and will collaborate with the commercial advisor and coordinator to ensure the efficient daily management of contractual and regulatory obligations. Additionally, the analyst will support the management of Joint Venture Partners and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and employees are expected to undertake reasonable duties commensurate with their role and grade.

  1. Act as the primary liaison for standard commercial contracts, including proximity agreements.
  2. Assist in activities necessary for the timely and efficient fulfillment of compliance obligations related to asset operations, transportation, and production processing.
  3. Provide comprehensive commercial support to Asset Managers, including addressing Joint Venture-related issues as they arise.
  4. Support the business planning cycle by integrating inputs into annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts, as well as coordinating production submissions.
  5. Keep all stakeholders informed and updated on key dates and activities, such as annual shutdown plans.
  6. Assist in the preparation of scoping economics for investment evaluations.
  7. Manage tariff models effectively.
  8. Support the compilation and coordination of quarterly compliance returns and the ongoing development of processes and procedures.
  9. Provide assistance for ad hoc requests to help manage asset performance and execute strategic initiatives.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Proficiency in standard business software and IT systems, particularly Excel, is essential. A solid understanding of data management is required, along with experience in a similar role. Knowledge of commercial agreements is also necessary.
