Lift Systems Technician

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Lift Systems Technician working remotely, primarily serving the South West region.

Reporting Structure: You will report to the Regional Business Manager and collaborate with a team of Lift Systems Technicians across the designated area. Your primary focus will be on the maintenance and repair of lift systems utilized in large distribution vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Installation, servicing, and repair of lift systems, including double-deck and shutter door mechanisms, while managing stock costs on contract accounts and optimizing revenue generation.
  • Coordinate with central control and/or the service center regarding job initiation and completion times, downtime, overtime authorization, cost updates, and customer purchase orders.
  • Participate in company training at our dedicated training facility and engage in self-development through attendance at manufacturer courses and online certification programs.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Lift Systems or Commercial Engineer.
  • Commercial expertise in electro-mechanical systems, including engines, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic systems.
  • Welding certification is required.
  • NVQ Level in hydraulics/electrics (desirable) or equivalent experience adhering to manufacturer standards.

Additional Information:

A valid UK driving license is necessary. Travel is required, with a company van and essential tools provided, along with a company fuel card. Additional compensation is available for overnight stays related to training. You will be compensated for travel time from your home to your work location.

Physical fitness is essential to perform the required tasks. Participation in an on-call roster is expected, including overtime and premium pay for night and weekend work when necessary.

In addition to a competitive hourly wage, on-call and overtime pay is offered at appropriate times. We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days of holiday with average pay, bank holidays, a generous contributory pension scheme, life insurance, a variety of product discounts, work uniforms, and health benefits.

Expected earnings range between £40,000 and £50,000.
