Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles to ensure compliance with DVSA standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, including steering, suspension, brake systems, fuel and air systems, transmission, and driveline.
  • Address electrical system faults, including ABS, EBS, HVAC, and multiplex CAN systems.
  • Perform major unit replacements and engine repairs/rebuilds.
  • Utilize dealer-level and generic diagnostic tools for efficient repairs.
  • Maintain vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and schedules.
  • Adhere to health and safety standards while following company guidelines and safe working practices.
  • Complete job cards, maintenance records, and related documentation accurately.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or a proven track record in the field.
  • City and Guilds / NVQ qualifications at levels 1, 2, or 3.
  • Additional certifications in specialized diagnostics, electrical repairs, mechanical repairs, and welding are advantageous.
