About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Reinsurance Broker to join our team at Aon, specializing in the placement of risks into the Lloyd's and Company markets. This role will involve working with our London-based EMEA Facultative Financial and Professional Lines team to execute reinsurance transactions and manage client and market-specific placement and projects throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of placement with the market to secure the best outcomes for our clients.
  • Ensure timely slip production, reviewing material before taking it to market.
  • Manage client expectations by communicating market dynamics and anticipated outcomes to clients in advance of placement milestones.
  • SOURCE and actively develop new revenue opportunities in conjunction with Client Directors, Senior Brokers, and client teams.
  • Work on and provide support in developing and delivering market presentations and broking strategies.
  • Identify appropriate channels for risk placement based on clients' market security guidelines and other requirements, exerting influence on the market to secure the best outcomes for our clients.
  • Provide advice to clients and colleagues on placement design, available coverage and capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements, and market progress.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of relevant (re)insurance broking experience.
  • Experience gained within the London Market is highly desirable.
  • Developed negotiation skills.
  • Language skills are desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to manage relationships internally and externally.
  • The ability to consider the underwriter's perspective to adapt approach.
  • Investment in Research & Development to find new products/solutions to meet clients' needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
