About the Role

The Noise and Vibration Engineer will be part of a team that provides a wide range of services related to noise and vibration engineering, from field trials of ships and submarines to office-based signature stealth analysis and modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project teams to solve complex noise and vibration problems for customers, which may involve field trials of UK Royal Navy ships and submarines.
  • Work as part of the team to ensure that all customer requirements are delivered according to specified quality, cost, and time requirements.
  • Operate safely with awareness of compliance within all health, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
  • Promote technical innovation and research related to new technologies and applications within the noise and vibration domain and further disciplines that work closely in this area.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant Science or Engineering subject or a relevant qualification (HNC, HND, or NVQ) plus proven experience.
  • Familiarity with Naval Platforms.
  • Proven experience operating within maritime engineering, trials, or test and evaluation environments.
  • Previous experience within data science, modeling, analysis, acoustics, or physics.
  • Proficiency with relevant software for signal processing, modeling, or analysis such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python.
