About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Noise and Vibration Engineer to join our team at QinetiQ. As a key member of our team, you will work on a wide range of projects, from field trials of naval platforms to office-based signature stealth analysis and modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project teams to solve complex noise and vibration problems for our customers, including field trials of naval platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure customer requirements are met according to quality, cost, and time requirements.
  • Operate safely and with awareness of compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental requirements.
  • Promote technical innovation and research related to new technologies and applications within the noise and vibration domain.
Day-to-Day Activities
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and solve complex noise and vibration problems.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for noise and vibration engineering.
  • Work with the team to ensure customer requirements are met according to quality, cost, and time requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and applications within the noise and vibration domain.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant Science or Engineering subject or a relevant qualification (HNC, HND or NVQ) plus proven experience.
  • Familiarity with naval platforms and experience operating within maritime engineering, trials, or test and evaluation environments.
  • Proven experience with data science, modeling, analysis, acoustics, or physics.
  • Proficiency with relevant software for signal processing, modeling, or analysis such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python.
