Our client is a successful business located in the Dunfermline area and is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join their team.

This role involves coordinating health-related matters and initiatives in the workforce at the site. The position is temporary, lasting a minimum of 1 year with the possibility of extension. The work hours are per week, potentially on a condensed 4-day shift.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in health surveillance for noise, vibration, radiation, and chemical exposures
  • Acting as the liaison between the occupational health physician and HSE/P&C
  • Providing regular healthrelated reports to management
  • Organizing and overseeing health promotion programs in collaboration with P&C and HSE
  • Conducting new employee health assessments and making recommendations to management
  • Managing health surveillance and work assessments as required by legislation and company policy
  • Maintaining reporting systems for monitoring occupational health performance
  • Ensuring adequate clinical supplies are stocked
  • Staying updated on occupational health theory, methods, and best practices
  • Requirements for this role include:
  • Formal Occupational Health qualification
  • Nursing qualification (EN/RGN)
  • Experience in Audiometry and Spirometry
  • Knowledge of HAVS detection
  • NEBOSH Certificate would be a plus
  • Awareness of current OH, H&S, and employee legislation
  • First aid certification
