Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Banking and Finance Lawyer to join our award-winning team at Clarion Solicitors Limited. As a key member of our Banking and Finance team, you will play a crucial role in helping us continue to grow and succeed in the local and national market.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Working with Financial Institutions**: Collaborate with banks, financial institutions, lenders, and borrowers to provide expert advice and guidance on complex financial transactions.
  • **Drafting and Negotiating Agreements**: Draft and negotiate facility agreements, including LMA-based templates, and intercreditor and other ranking agreements.
  • **Ensuring Satisfaction of Condition Precedents**: Ensure and/or supervise satisfaction of condition precedents to facility agreements to allow for drawdown when acting for either the lender or borrower.
  • **Supporting Corporate and Real Estate Departments**: Assist our award-winning Corporate and Real Estate departments in respect of corporate acquisitions, property acquisitions, and/or development funding.
  • **Building Client Relationships**: Build and support client relationships, with an active role to play in business development and the ability to build your and the team's own client base.

Requirements

  • **Experience**: At least 3 years' PQE as a Banking and Finance lawyer.
  • **Attributes**: Experience of real estate finance and/or leveraged finance, experience of LMA documentation, very good written and verbal communication skills, thoroughness in all aspects of work, and great care and attention to detail.
  • **Skills**: Ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects, to manage priorities effectively, and to work under the pressure of deadlines. Good organisational and analytical skills, and logical thinking.
  • **Personal Qualities**: Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated, with a strong sense of initiative. Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
