Adult Clinical Lead

The post holder will be a key member of the inpatient multi-disciplinary team, working within a recovery-focused service. They will provide support to the Ward Manager and clinical leadership to the ward team, as well as guidance and supervision of junior nursing staff.
The post holder will ensure that systems are used to incorporate Essence of Care and other adopted models of quality assurance and clinical governance into everyday practice. An interest in furthering clinical skills and undertaking further training as required is essential.
The post holder may be required to work in other areas of the Health Board to meet service needs. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties- Building key relationships with clinical and non-clinical teams within the Adult Mental Health Directorate and Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Division.
- Working in conjunction with the Ward Manager/Deputy Ward Manager, leading the clinical management of patients to ensure that high standards of nursing care are achieved and maintained.
- Taking on the primary nursing role for a number of patients on the ward, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the clinical care of patients, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Ensuring that changes in the patient's physical and mental health and behaviour are reported and recorded by the post holder and junior nursing staff.
