Compliance and Risk Oversight Manager (Client Onboarding and Surveillance)

Financial Services - Remote

Role Summary

This position presents a unique opportunity to become a part of our organization as a Compliance and Risk Oversight Manager, concentrating on the onboarding of new clients and the ongoing surveillance of our client portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring that client onboarding procedures adhere to regulatory requirements and align with our risk management framework.

This role offers significant flexibility with minimal travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Evaluation: Execute comprehensive Know Your Business (KYB) assessments on new clients to verify compliance with regulatory mandates.
  • Risk Assessment Framework: Implement and enhance risk scoring frameworks to categorize client risks during the onboarding phase and continuous oversight.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential clients to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Continuous Oversight: Periodically assess the client portfolio to identify and mitigate compliance risks, ensuring alignment with internal protocols.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance activities, initiating corrective measures as necessary.
  • Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports for senior leadership on client risk assessments, emphasizing any notable patterns or issues.
  • Corrective Action Plans: Formulate and execute corrective action strategies for clients who fail to meet compliance benchmarks, tracking their progress and reporting internally.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in risk oversight, compliance, or financial crime prevention.
  • In-depth knowledge of payment solutions and the electronic money industry, particularly regarding card processing.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated capability to cultivate effective relationships across various levels and regions.
