Senior Pricing Analyst – Motor Insurance – Innovative Insurtech Firm

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a seasoned Motor Pricing Analyst with a strong background in machine learning, data analytics, and a solid understanding of actuarial concepts. While formal actuarial qualifications are not mandatory, expertise in these areas is essential. This role is pivotal in an innovative Insurtech organization, where you will influence strategic initiatives through data-centric insights. Proficiency in Python, good SQL skills, and familiarity with R are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement pricing models utilizing machine learning and statistical methodologies for motor and property & casualty insurance.
  • Incorporate actuarial techniques into pricing frameworks.
  • Examine and process extensive datasets to uncover trends and optimization prospects.
  • Work collaboratively with product development, underwriting, risk management, and other departments to formulate integrated pricing strategies.
  • Keep abreast of industry advancements in data science and machine learning.
  • Deliver insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support new product initiatives with expert pricing evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in pricing analysis for motor and/or property & casualty insurance within the insurance industry.
  • Expertise in machine learning methodologies and tools (Python, R, SQL).
  • Understanding of actuarial principles, particularly for motor and property & casualty insurance.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Work Arrangement:

This position is based in London, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements. Candidates from various locations are welcome, provided they are willing to travel to the office occasionally. Travel expenses for commuting will be covered, and provisions for overnight stays are available for those who live further away.
