About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pricing Specialist to join our Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS) team at M&G plc. As a key member of our Pricing team, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering bulk purchase annuities and alternative de-risking products for Defined Benefit pension schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End Pricing: You will be responsible for key roles on end-to-end pricing for BPAs and other de-risking solutions, working closely with colleagues from across the business and outsourcing partners to integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management, and structuring workstreams into pricing projects.
  • Technical Analysis and Strategy: You will support senior stakeholders across CRS and M&G Life with technical analysis, strategy, business planning, and ad-hoc queries, providing expert advice on complex pricing projects.
  • Modeling and Development: You will develop new and enhanced modeling capability, including tech solutions across the CRS pricing infrastructure, and support the pricing development of novel bulk annuity transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with distribution and transaction management colleagues to produce high-quality client deliverables and support wider relationship management activities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Commercially Minded Actuary: You will be a commercially minded, nearly or recently qualified actuary with exceptional technical skills, experience of bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, life insurance balance sheet management, or modeling UK DB Pensions.
  • Strong Technical Skills: You will have a strong understanding of Solvency II/UK for life insurance, particularly balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy, and ALM, and experience of developing/structuring and pricing institutional insurance products.
  • Ambitious and Self-Motivated: You will be ambitious and self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritize workload to strict deadlines, and possess strong communication and presentation skills.
