About the Role

The Range Control Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation of the range, managing acoustic monitoring and forecasting noise predictions, and coordinating emergency response efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure live firing activities are conducted safely in accordance with range standing orders.
  • Manage acoustic monitoring and forecasting of noise predictions against key performance indicators.
  • Be responsible for the application of approved WDA's to the MSR and monitoring of the safe place during live firing activity.
  • Ensure the range is safe and at an appropriate condition prior to authorising trials to proceed.
  • Be responsible for the initial control of incidents and coordination of emergency service support as required.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to collaborate positively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Effective and influential communicator at multiple levels, able to engage with detail and provide clear concise information.
  • Experience working on ranges and understanding of safety procedures.
