Field Operations Manager

**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to join our team at Thames Water. As a Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of Sewer Technicians to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance across the northwest catchment within strategic pumping and trunk sewers.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Be a role model and ensure the team performs in a manner representative of Thames Water's company values and professionalism
* Performance managing and Performance Development of a field operations team
* Monitor and steer performance against key metrics
* Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team
* Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team
* Ensure the health, safety and well-being of your team are always maintained and that safe working practices which comply with company procedures are followed
* Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements
* You will split your time between the office and the field with your team, enabling you to provide direct support, engagement, and performance management both as a team and on a one-to-one basis

**Requirements**

* Excellent people and team management skills
* Ability to lead, develop and performance manage field-based operatives
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role
* Be well organised and able to manage your time and multi-task
* You will be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software
* Previous experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders is also highly regarded
* Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH / NEBOSH are desirable
* Demonstrating the ability to handle and manage change effectively in a field team
* A full UK driving licence
