We are looking for a meticulous PMO Resource Analyst to join our vibrant Project Management Office at Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).


Key Responsibilities:
As a PMO Resource Analyst, you will be a vital contributor to our IT projects and change initiatives.

This position will report to the IT Portfolio Delivery Manager and necessitates close collaboration with Project Managers, stakeholders, and our IT department.


You will utilize advanced planning methodologies and tools to enhance our short and long-term portfolio and resource strategies, serving as a bridge between the Project Management and IT Portfolio Teams.


Your Role Will Include:

  • Collaborating with the Portfolio Team to maintain an effective overview of the IT change portfolio, ensuring a comprehensive 12-month Portfolio Plan that includes ongoing projects, backlog, and new requests.
  • Ensuring timely updates to the Portfolio Plan, maintaining accuracy and version control.
  • Integrating the 6 and 12-month plans with a consolidated budget overview, including milestones and deadlines for ongoing projects and new requests, along with resource profiles.


Engaging with cost centre managers and functional leadership to forecast and streamline expenditure plans for optimal resource utilization and project efficiency.


  • Preparing dashboards and conducting performance tracking and analysis across the entire portfolio.
  • Assisting in the development and upkeep of project plans, including identifying and monitoring dependencies between projects and streams.
  • Building strong relationships with project managers, internal stakeholders, and delivery partners to foster a collaborative approach to project and resource planning.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of project-related processes, methodologies, tools, templates, and systems to facilitate efficient project delivery.

Required Experience:
  • Strong project and portfolio planning skills with experience using project management and planning tools such as MS Project.
  • A background in Portfolio Management, PMO, and Project Management.
  • Proven experience in project governance, methodologies, and controls.
  • High proficiency in the complete MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
