Job Summary:

The Scotts Project Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager Day Services to support our current Manager of the Day Services. This is a client-based role that requires a strong understanding of learning disabilities and the ability to work closely with service users to promote their development and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain service user care plans and risk assessments to ensure the highest level of care and support.
  • Monitor and recognize when safeguarding intervention may be required, taking prompt action to ensure the well-being of service users.
  • Support the staff team by carrying out supervisions and appraisals, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Ensure a good team spirit with high morale, adopting an open-door policy to facilitate effective communication.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of Day Services.
  • Collaborate with the management team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the quality of service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in the care sector.
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Full clean driver's license to enable driving of company vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, staff, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
