About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to our service user, Freddie, in his home in Leominster.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work without direct supervision to provide personal, social, and domestic support to Freddie, adhering to his individual care and support plan.

Your primary goal will be to enable Freddie to remain safely in his own home with as much independence as possible, while maintaining his right to privacy and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care, including medication administration, personal hygiene, and mobility support
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, household chores, and social interaction
  • Supporting Freddie's communication needs, including the use of communication aids
  • Participating in activities that promote Freddie's physical, emotional, and social well-being

Requirements

  • 3 months' previous care experience, including medication administration, personal care, and moving and handling
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Freddie and his family
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
