Addressing homelessness remains a critical focus for local authorities. The Interim Housing Solutions Coordinator will play a vital role in enhancing the availability of temporary housing by establishing and nurturing partnerships with property owners, real estate agents, and developers.

You will become part of a dynamic and dedicated team during a period of significant transformation, where each day presents a chance to create a meaningful impact.

  • Facilitate the allocation of temporary housing and ensure that all agreements with tenants are executed in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide essential information, guidance, and support to vulnerable individuals, focusing on managing their housing expectations effectively.
  • Ensure prompt allocation of properties and swift execution of agreements with tenants to minimize vacancy periods.
  • Establish tenancies and manage accounts for allocated properties.
  • Conduct home visits to clients residing in temporary accommodations.
  • Oversee clients in temporary housing, including issuing notifications and managing housing duties.

Role Responsibilities

Customer Service Expertise: Given that some clients may be vulnerable or come from difficult backgrounds, it is crucial to provide attentive support while maintaining professionalism and composure. The primary goal is to deliver exceptional service to those in need.

Writing Proficiency: You will be responsible for accurately documenting information in the management system, drafting correspondence, and preparing reports. Clear and high-quality writing is essential, as regular communication with residents and stakeholders is a key aspect of the role.

Proactive and Organized Approach: Effectively managing cases to completion is vital, ensuring timely actions and consistent communication. Taking ownership of cases and striving for excellence in service delivery is expected.
