Position Overview

Job Title: Sample Analysis Specialist

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Tuesday - Friday 12-8pm and Saturday 8:30 am - 4:40 pm

Location: Cramlington

As a Sample Analysis Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to prepare samples received from clients. You will ensure that all data is accurately entered into the system in a timely manner, enabling the laboratory to conduct analyses in compliance with client and UKAS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and glassware utilized in testing procedures.
  • Collaborating with team members to log all samples upon arrival on the same day.
  • Following client specifications and processing all samples accordingly, providing necessary support to clients as required.
  • Contacting clients for any missing information, such as email addresses for report distribution.
  • Verifying that all documentation related to samples is accurate. Any discrepancies or deviations must be addressed and communicated to the technical services or account management teams.
  • Distributing sample information to relevant departments as needed, such as notifying the international team of samples received for processing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum educational requirement is GCSE level; experience in touch typing is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and a responsible demeanor are essential.
  • Prior experience in customer service is advantageous, along with effective communication skills via telephone, in person, and through email.
  • Proficiency with computers is necessary, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Competence in both written and spoken English is required.
