Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Therapy Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Therapy Departments, ensuring the smooth operation of our services and delivering a high-quality patient experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the Therapy Administration Team, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient service is provided at all times.
  • Provide administrative support to the Heads of Service, Therapists, and Dietitians across all 5 services, including Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, and Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Manage and record sickness absence and annual leave, ensuring compliance with department guidelines and Trust Policy.
  • Implement and review a program of appraisals with all administrative staff, creating personal development plans.
  • Oversee the implementation of new systems or procedures, ensuring administrative staff are fully competent in their job roles and regular audit and data quality checks are carried out.
Requirements
  • GCSE English A-C (9-4)
  • Computer literate to ECDL standard or equivalent (including Microsoft Office Applications)
  • NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
  • RSA III Typing or equivalent
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Experience of managing change and service improvement
  • Experience of recruitment and selection processes
  • Experience using SystmOne
Key Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize diverse and heavy workloads
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Awareness of IG requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels
