About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in managing communications for complex projects and programs with multiple stakeholders and audiences. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a communications plan, drafting media releases, planning launch events, and advising local groups on how to promote their projects locally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote our programs and engage with stakeholders
  • Draft media releases, press statements, and other communications materials
  • Plan and execute launch events, planting days, and other promotional activities
  • Advise local groups on how to promote their projects locally and develop marketing collateral
  • Commission tree planting guidance and training materials to support community planting programs
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience in managing communications for complex projects and programs
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of community engagement and the national picture of tree planting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
