£12.78 per hour / £24,600 - £26,600 annually, depending on experience

Employment Type:
Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours:
40 hours per week, following a 2-week rotating schedule, including every other weekend. Overtime opportunities available if desired.

Role Summary:


In the role of Care Assistant, you will engage in a Supported Living and Learning Environment with young adults aged 19 and above who experience significant learning challenges and exhibit challenging behaviors.


Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
Creating and executing social activities to improve quality of life
Assisting with daily living tasks and promoting self-sufficiency
Building warm, nurturing, and supportive relationships with individuals
Encouraging and guiding towards independent living

Qualifications:

We are looking for proactive and empathetic individuals who possess:
Prior experience in care
Willingness to adhere to a rotating schedule, including every other weekend
Outstanding communication skills, empathy, and understanding
Desire to learn and go above and beyond
Ability to support and encourage independence
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities
A proactive approach to the role

Safeguarding Measures:
Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and applicants must disclose all convictions and cautions (including those that are 'spent' unless 'protected' under DBS filtering rules) to evaluate their suitability.
