Social Work First is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Adult Social Care services. As the Head of Performance Services, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of all aspects of adult social care services in a complex and demanding legal and social environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering a breadth of support to older and disabled people, people with mental ill health, dementia, and their carers.
- Providing strategic leadership on all aspects of Adult Social Care, allocating human and financial resources to priority activities and leading on the integration of services.
- Leading on Mental Health Act Services including the supply of warranted Approved Mental Health Professionals, S117, Mental Health services performance, and Council lead on relationships with mental health providers.
- Providing technical and specialist leadership and advice on all aspects of adult mental health policy and practice.
- Providing confident leadership and clear management across wide-ranging services to ensure effective strategic development and operational delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading adult social care services or a related field.
- Strong strategic leadership and management skills.
- Ability to allocate resources effectively and prioritize activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of adult mental health policy and practice.
