About the Role

The Southend East Primary Care Network is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician - Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the management and development of prescribing systems within our network.

Main Responsibilities

  • To support the management and development of prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective, and quality prescribing within member practices in the network.
  • To work closely with the PCN Clinical Pharmacist for prescribing on individual prescribing projects or audits.
  • To develop strong working relationships with local community pharmacies to assist patients and provide a high-quality service.
  • To act as lead contact for any complex prescribing queries on behalf of the network.
  • To assist with the training of new pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians.
  • To support the Operations Manager with clinical administration.

Requirements

  • Evidence of extensive experience in relevant area of clinical practice, including previous relevant experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Portfolio evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development.
  • Experience of delegation and supervision.
  • Experience of working flexibly and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of having to prioritize caseload/manage own time effectively.
  • Experience of managing change and conflict situations.
