About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to lead our clinical service in Surgery and Critical Care at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and effective service to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient care.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and direction to our pharmacy team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient safety, quality of care, and service efficiency.
- Collaborate with our medical and nursing teams to provide specialist pharmaceutical information and advice.
- Lead the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies, ensuring compliance with national and local standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior pharmacists, technicians, and students, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Participate in clinical governance and risk management activities, contributing to the development of our pharmacy risk management strategy.
- Represent our pharmacy department at local and national meetings, promoting our services and contributing to the development of pharmacy policy and practice.
