The Finance division at Tata Steel Europe is undergoing a transformation to establish a new framework that aligns with and effectively supports our evolving operational model. This initiative aims to provide a premier accounting, operational, and analytical reporting service to both UK and international subsidiaries from our centralized hub in Port Talbot.

As a Senior Reporting Accountant at Tata Steel UK, you will gain comprehensive insights into the business and will be tasked with addressing complex accounting challenges linked to the transition towards Electric Arc Furnace technology and the production of environmentally friendly steel.

You will play a pivotal role within the Finance Department at Tata Steel UK, where we have recently integrated a cutting-edge SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting system. This advancement has initiated numerous changes in our financial processes and holds the promise of further enhancements for the organization.

As you progress in your role as a Senior Reporting Accountant, you will have the opportunity to engage with various aspects of the Finance function, contributing to your ongoing professional development.

  • Qualified accountant
  • Interest in the technical aspects of accounting, preferably with experience in Practice, though not mandatory
  • Adaptable approach to meet the quarterly reporting requirements of the business
  • Solid understanding of SAP Reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong decision-making skills
