Position Overview:
Our client is looking for two dedicated Financial Operations Cashiers to become integral members of their dynamic team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Operations Cashier, your primary duties will include:
  • Monitoring client account bank statements throughout the day to identify new funds and notifying the appropriate fee earners or teams regarding any client reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Assisting with daily completions to facilitate the processing of funds for both client and office accounts, including generating office account cheques for disbursements and managing CHAPS, BACS, and faster payments, as well as processing card receipts.
  • Overseeing the management of the petty cash float for each office and aiding in the daily reconciliation of client and office accounts.
  • Handling the daily processing and posting of the firm's invoices and administering client interest calculations as necessary.
  • Executing WIP and Disbursement write-offs as required.

Supervisory Duties:
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also:
  • Supervise the Purchase Ledger System.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Ensure timely tax payments to HMRC on behalf of Partners.
  • Provide supervision and potential training for junior staff members.
  • Reconcile Office and Client Bank Accounts on a daily basis.
  • Manage client interest calculations.
  • Oversee all aspects of expenses for Partners, Consultants, and Lawyers.
  • Verify and reconcile all firm credit card transactions.
  • Maintain PKC, KPI, and Rekoop systems.
  • Generate weekly Time Reports and follow up with Fee Earners on any missing time entries.
  • Process various payments through the BACS system and manage Direct Debits.
  • Handle the writing off of bills and disbursements.
