Senior Practitioner for Children and Young People

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Liaison Team (CAMHLT) as a Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist clinical leadership, supervision, and support to the team, as well as developing and maintaining robust holistic care pathways for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the CAMHLT team, including supervision, support, and consultation.
- Develop and maintain robust holistic care pathways for children and young people.
- Lead on the development of the team's knowledge and skills set around the assessment and response to the needs of children and young people.
- Provide assessment and direct patient interventions for children and young people, focusing on relapse prevention, early discharge, and improved quality of life.
- Liaise effectively with other healthcare and social care professionals to ensure seamless care for children and young people.
- Registered Social Worker, RMN, or Occupational Therapist with current registration with the relevant body.
- Experience of working within a child and adolescent mental health service, including emergency or urgent response and assessment.
- Experience of leading on and managing complex child and adolescent mental health presentations.
- Strong knowledge of the National and Local agendas for children and young people's services and how this will interface with liaison services in the future.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of professionals and agencies.
