We are seeking to appoint an Area Registered Manager within our Supported Living Services, tasked with effectively leading the services and ensuring responsiveness to the needs of those we support in a compassionate and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with CQC registration requirements (single or dual registration).
  • Foster a positive team culture, exemplifying outstanding leadership and management practices aligned with company values.
  • Deliver effective, safe, and person-centered support.
  • Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, advocates, and other professionals.
  • Ensure that outcomes for individuals in our services are met and reviewed, recognizing personal growth and development.
  • Guide team practices, delivering outcomes-based and person-centered services while adhering to MCA/BI principles.
  • Implement the Quality Governance Strategy and Support Plans as necessary.
  • Address local needs by filling service voids promptly while respecting individual preferences.
  • Assist colleagues in monitoring and managing KPI data, employee retention, and absence levels.
  • Promote an open culture within the team, actively listening to and addressing team concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with the company’s quality assurance and improvement processes, including audits and reviews.
  • Maintain adherence to all contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Advocate for and deliver person-centered support, including positive risk assessment and management.
  • Keep accurate records of care delivery.
  • Oversee recruitment and retention of staff to deliver effective services in line with company policies.
  • Plan and manage effective rotas, ensuring accurate employee compensation.
  • Provide a comprehensive induction and positive experience for all team members, embodying the values of Aspirations Care.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Management or equivalent qualification, or willingness to pursue.
  • Proven managerial experience within the learning disabilities and/or mental health sector.
  • Experience working within a Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT).
  • Background in recruiting, inducting, and training staff teams.
  • Experience in conducting disciplinary investigations and preparing reports.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient report writing abilities.
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and best practices.
  • Capability to support individuals in the community with appropriate risk management.
  • Numerical skills for managing rotas and financial matters.
  • Ability to supervise and lead others.
  • Flexible and committed, with availability for on-call duties.
  • Honest, trustworthy, and patient.
  • Commitment to anti-oppressive practices.

Additional Requirements:

  • Full clean driving license.
  • DBS Check.
  • Suitable references upon appointment.

Financial Viability:

  • A primary responsibility of the Area Registered Manager is to ensure the financial viability of the service provided.
  • Staff levels must align with commissioned hours, and expenditures should be monitored.
  • Prior authorization is required for expenses beyond agreed limits.
  • Minimize agency use, employing it only as a last resort.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to explore new business opportunities and support the commissioning of new services.
  • Manage service voids proactively to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of new referrals and submit costings as needed.

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Follow infection control policies and guidelines.
  • Report any equipment or environmental defects promptly.

Personal Development:

  • Engage in personal supervision and review processes as per company policy.
  • Complete any mandatory training required by the company.
  • Commit to a personal development program and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
