Join Our Team as a Talented Cook/Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our team at Moat Park Retirement Village in Great Easton, Essex. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Planning: Design and create diverse and appealing menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Cooking: Prepare and execute culinary dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring high-quality meals are served for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Catering to Dietary Restrictions: Accommodate special dietary requirements and restrictions, including low-sodium, gluten-free, and other individual needs.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the dining services team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for residents.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Special Events: Plan and execute special dining events and activities for residents.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a similar setting
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for seniors
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices
  • Creativity and passion for delivering high-quality, creative, appealing meals
