Position Overview

The successful candidate will join a national team at Public Health Wales, contributing to a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing endoscopy services throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

The individual will deliver both project management and administrative assistance to the National Endoscopy Programme. This role necessitates the oversight and management of various projects and programs, as well as facilitating the logistics of specific subsidiary work streams. Reporting to the Assistant Programme Manager, the candidate will aid in the maintenance and supervision of diverse program and project groups and their subgroups. A proactive and detail-oriented approach is essential for this position.

This role demands strong organizational capabilities, initiative, and exceptional time management skills. The candidate will be responsible for negotiating timelines for the delivery of critical project documentation while managing their own workload and supporting the broader program team to ensure effective outcomes.

The National Endoscopy Programme (NEP) was initiated to foster sustainable enhancements in endoscopy services, guided by national directives. Its establishment was a response to the challenges faced by endoscopy services.

The NEP Team operates in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, ideal for an organized individual with a keen attention to detail and a strong team spirit.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications or substantial relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing/word processing skills or equivalent experience.

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with administrative processes, including specialized IT systems and project management, acquired through formal training or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing an effective program management office.
