About Us: Thornbury Community Services is a leading provider of care and support services for children and young people with complex needs.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Community Nurse to join our team in Oxford. As a Children's Complex Care Nurse, you will work with a 14-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy, providing bespoke care and support to enable him to stabilise at home and achieve personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and support to the client, including suctioning, mechanical cough assist, and care of gastrostomy.
  • Work collaboratively with the client's family and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement a care plan.
  • Provide education and training to the client and their family on care and management techniques.
  • Contribute to the development of the client's care plan and review progress regularly.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in the last 2 years as a Paediatric Community Nurse.
  • Recent experience in suctioning, mechanical cough assist, and care of gastrostomy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
