Job Title: Fire Door Engineer

Location: Crawley

Salary: Up to £40K

Main Responsibilities

As a Fire Door Engineer, you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and our client. You must have good written and oral communication skills and have a high level of technical knowledge across the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete refurbishment, maintenance, and building tasks to deliver high-quality workmanship.
  2. Carry out other refurbishment and construction work as required.
  3. Work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
  4. Liaise with the management team daily.
  5. Perform inspections and assessments of existing fire-rated doors to identify repairs or replacements needed.
  6. Install fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
  7. Install and maintain fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, closers, and panic devices.
  8. Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances.
  9. Maintain accurate records of door installations, repairs, and inspections.
  10. Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  12. Travel to multiple sites as required.
Requirements
  • UK Driving License (required)
  • All aspects of fire door installation and maintenance
  • Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and possess strong attention to detail.
  • Health & Safety awareness, and safe working
  • Fire Door installation trained / qualified - Desirable.
