Senior Fire Door Engineer

A leading fire protection company, covering the UK, needs a Senior Fire Door Engineer to join the team. The main duties of a Fire Door Installation Specialist include:

The Senior Fire Door Engineer will take responsibility for completing the refurbishment, maintenance, inspection, and always delivering a high level of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work collaboratively with the team and independently when required.
  2. Liaise with the management team on a daily basis.
  3. Perform thorough inspections and assessments of existing fire-rated doors to identify any repairs or replacements needed.
  4. Install fire-rated doors in accordance with fire regulations, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
  5. Install and maintain fire-rated door hardware, including locks, hinges, closers, and panic devices.
  6. Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including fire ratings, smoke sealing, and door clearances.
  7. Maintain accurate records of door installations, repairs, and inspections.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  10. Travel to multiple sites as required.
Fire Door Engineer Experience & Skills Required:
  1. UK Driving License (required).
  2. All aspects of fire door inspection, installation, and maintenance (required).
  3. Solid understanding of fire safety regulations, carpentry techniques, and possess strong attention to detail (required).
  4. NVQ 2 Carpentry (required).
  5. Health & Safety awareness, and safe working practices.

The Senior Fire Door Engineer salary is up to £45k depending on experience plus benefits.
