About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Practice Secretary to join our team at Dr Marks' General Practice in Romford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our doctor and patients, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the surgery.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to our doctor, including processing internal and external emails, opening and processing post, and creating and monitoring the Practice Diary.
• Manage the reception area, including answering phone calls, greeting patients, and dealing with queries.
• Create electronic referrals to hospital and community clinics, and liaise with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records and databases, including patient information and clinical data.
• Provide support with tasks such as typing reports, creating invoices, and monitoring stock levels.
Requirements
• GCSE Grade A to C in English and Maths.
• Experience of working in a GP practice as a secretary or receptionist.
• Experience of using the EMIS clinical system.
