Academic Instructor in Foundation Studies

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Academic Instructor in Foundation Studies to join our team at NCG. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning programs to 16-18 year olds in Foundation Learning, across different levels of further education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging one-on-one and group tutorial sessions to students
- Develop and implement Digital Skills lessons
- Undertake program leadership and administrative duties
- Develop employability skills, promote independence, and plan learners' next steps to progress further in education, employment or training
Requirements:
- Hold an honours degree level qualification (Level 6)
- Post-16 teaching qualification
- English and maths qualifications at level 2
- Experience in effective program leadership in FE
- Proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines
About the Role:
The Access to Further Education course is designed to develop maths and English skills, as well as vocational and personal skills such as confidence, self-esteem, and teamwork. Students engage in weekly maths, English, Tutorial, ICT and vocational lessons. Our Foundation Learning department is a positive and well-respected place to work, where colleagues work effectively together to ensure all stakeholders get the best value from every aspect of the curriculum.
