Academic Instructor in Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Instructor in Engineering to join our team at NCG. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing high-quality learning programs in Engineering, across a range of levels of further education, higher education, and/or apprenticeship provision.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering and assessing learning programs in Engineering, ensuring high-quality outcomes and student satisfaction.
- Undertaking program leadership, tutorial, and program administration duties, including curriculum development and review.
- Providing guidance and support to students, including academic advising and mentoring.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Participating in departmental and institutional committees, contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering, with a proven track record of professional/vocational expertise in the Engineering sector. They will hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Master's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
- Post-16 teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, CertEd).
- English and maths qualifications at level 2.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.
