Newcastle College, a reputable educational institution, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in Foundation Learning to join its team. As a key member of the Foundation Learning department, the successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality learning programs to 16-18 year olds.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching and Mentoring: Deliver engaging one-on-one and group tutorial sessions, teaching Digital Skills lessons, and undertaking program leadership and administrative duties.
- Program Development: Develop and deliver learning programs that meet the needs of students, assessing and providing feedback to students, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Qualifications: An honours degree level qualification (Level 6) and a post-16 teaching qualification.
- Skills and Experience: English and maths qualifications at level 2, effective program leadership in FE, successful teaching and assessment practice, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong IT skills, and the ability to self-manage workload and meet deadlines.
The Access to Further Education course is designed to develop maths and English skills, as well as vocational and personal skills such as confidence, self-esteem, and teamwork. Students engage in weekly maths, English, Tutorial, ICT, and vocational lessons.
