Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Security Specialist to join our technical services team at Kings Lynn & West Norfolk BC. As the ICT Security/Cybersecurity Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting the Council's data and systems from cyber security threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the security of both on-premise and cloud-based ICT networks, employing new technologies to mitigate ongoing risks.
- Lead on Public Services Network compliance and Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard legislation.
- Develop and maintain the Council's disaster recovery strategy.
- Perform multi-platform server administration tasks and Internet/Network security procedures to ensure system and data integrity.
- Maintain and support the BCKLWN remote working environment.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive working knowledge of ICT, including Windows-based operating systems, modern PC architecture, and IT Security and Networks, Data, and Internet Security.
- Excellent diagnostics skills, with the ability to process data with high levels of accuracy and handle confidential data sensitively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with all levels across the Council.
