Fire Risk Assessor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Risk Assessor to join our team at Freebridge Community Housing. As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our customers and staff by conducting thorough fire risk assessments and providing expert advice on fire safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fire risk assessments of residential and non-residential buildings to identify potential fire hazards and risks.
  • Provide assurance to the Head of Safety that all activities related to fire safety demonstrate compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Act on findings to remove or reduce the risks and hazards identified, including preparing specifications and requirements for remedial works.
  • Monitor progress and check that works have been completed in accordance with fire-related Building Regulations, fire safety standards, and specifications.
  • Provide a safety advisory service to ensure our customers are safe and secure in their homes.
Requirements:
  • Extensive knowledge of Fire Safety Regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience in carrying out fire risk surveys and identifying non-compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practice.
  • Ability to identify compliant solutions to fire hazards and risks.
  • Experience of using ICT systems to undertake works and record outcomes.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to ensure service levels are maintained in line with required standards.
  • IFSM level 3 Accreditation for Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent.
